Govind prabhu, Srimad Bhagavatam Class, Bhaktivedanta Ashram, New York City, July 2007

His Grace Govinda prabhu (ISKCON Chowpatty, Mumbai) spent several days with the devotees at Yajna Purusa prabhu’s Bhaktivedanta Ashram in Manhattan, New York City. His visit was an inspiration for both the householders and the brahmacaris of 26th 2nd Avenue. Govinda is a power-mix of enthusiasm, sensitivity, rigid spiritual practice, philosophy and charm. And he has won our hearts with his simplicity and devotion.

His visit reached a wonderful crescendo on Friday when he cooked the feast for the evening programme, lead harinam from 2nd Avenue to Union Square Park and gave an inspiring lecture at the Storefront. Well done, Govinda! I am sure your visits will be remembered in times to come.
